I remember the first day I launched www.urbangirlz.org. With joy and excitement I monitored the cliques daily to see if the e-zine that a few months earlier was only a vision was impacting urban girlz and teenz. Today I announce with great joy that www.urbangirlz.org has been selected by the www.blackwebawards.com as the Best website for girls and teens of color.

Who would have ever imagined God would have used me to speak to and touch the lives of urban girlz and teenz around the world. Thank you to all my family and friends who voted. And to all those who have not yet experienced urbangirlz, log on and be inspired.

You Shall Have What You Say

The news has been grim lately. Stories of the stock market demise and banks imploding seems to be on every one's minds and lips. Years ago I learned not to give in or join in with naysayers and I began the practice of speaking positively over every circumstance in my life.

Today's Word: You Shall Have What You Say!
Have you found yourself giving in to the bad news lately? Negativity comes to bring fear. Fear is an enemy of progress and in order to continue to move forward in uncertain times you must remain focused on your God given task and speak positively over its results.

Here's a few steps to get you started...................
1. Determine in your mind you will not give in to negative speaking.
2. Begin to speak positively over a challenging situation in your life.
3. Share with other's the power of positive speaking and thought.
4. Begin to speak what you would like to see happen in your life instead of what you see now.
5. Come back and share your testimony.
